Estrella was in much need of bottom paint as primer was showing through.
Eduardo, Fonatur Marina manager, got me out of the water and on the hard within a couple of days from our arrival. Francisco, the yard work manager got his guys scraping the bottom while Estrella was still in the sling! By the end of the second day, Est had been sanded and green padded as well as the first coat of bottom paint.
Each coat requires a day before the next coat and the stands holding Estrella up had to be moved so it was 5 more days before splashing.
We were back in the water returning to Santa Rosalia in a week. Absolutely great crew, timely work and very reasonable price. Thumbs up for Marina Fonatur in Guaymas!
