Bahia Catalina on approach to Guaymas

We had a very easy night crossing from Santa Rosalia to the Guaymas area. 8 to 10 knot winds and under 1 foot swell. Dropping anchor in a safe protected and empty bay was the order of the day break. Bahia Catalina was the spot.

We anchor in 18 feet of water. The land breeze, from the main land was light but had the unpleasant smell from the fish plants closer to Guaymas. The land breeze let up a few hours later and the light northerlies swept down a valley and cleared the air.
Bahia Catalina is the outer most bay on Cabo Haro. It is also the end of a dirt road from Guaymus to Cabo Haro. During the late afternoon and evenings Mexicans will drive in with the dogs and kids to visit the east side beach. The west side beach is only reachable by boat.
We found this little bay as a great arrival and jump off spot to/from Guaymus.
